“There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.” - Margaret J. Wheatley
We face unprecedented challenges in the times ahead. Services that help our community are being stripped away by those in power at the national level. Instead of getting the benefits that we’ve paid for through our tax dollars, they plan to use our money for harmful projects that take away from our community, while they enrich themselves and their billionaire friends.
The Community Action Fair is an opportunity for us to come together, share ideas and discover what we care about as a community. Together we can hold those in power accountable while building stronger, more resilient networks of care.
With a focus on intersectionality, we’ll learn how we can integrate positive action into our daily lives and how even the most basic among those actions affect the social context of which we are a part. We’ll listen to speakers from progressive organizations, network with our neighbors and exchange ideas that will help us bring about positive change in our community.
Come join us.
